Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv at EC training on Gender Equality Plans targeting Bulgaria

On September 28, 2021 Ecorys, on behalf of the European Commission, conducted the first of a series of training on Gender Equality Plans (GEPs).

The training targeted EU member states and associated countries in which there are many organisations concerned by the Horizon Europe eligibility criterion, but that do not have in place a Gender Equality Plan yet.

Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv was invited to present their strategy in developing a GEP as part of the SPEAR project. A member of the SPEAR project team at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv (Kirina Boykova, PhD) shared the University’s approach, the challenges they have faced, and the main steps in the initiation of their Gender Equality Plan, as well as the GEP’s idea, structure, leading principles and priorities.
