Implementation of Gender Equality Plans in Higher Education Institutions: good practices, challenges and ideas

8th of June (Wednesday) 10:00-11:30 (EET)

On the 8th of June,  Vilnius and Vytautas Magnus universities along with other Lithuanian universities representatives are organizing a discussion dedicated to talking about the Gender Equality Plan’s implementation process in Lithuanian higher education institutions. During the round table, participants will discuss what parts of the gender equality plans are being implemented already, what practices have already proved their worth, what gender equality issues are still underdeveloped, and so on.   

The event will be held in Lithuanian, along with a simultaneous translation into English.

Seminar

Work-life balance: what universities can do?

9th of June (Thursday) 10:00-12:00 (EET)

During the seminar experts from Lithuanian, Danish and German universities and the Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsman will discuss the concept of reconciling personal life and work, present how organizations create favorable conditions for community members to ensure family and career reconciliation, create flexible working opportunities and promote personal and professional development. This process is based on mutual dialogue and understanding of the community. Therefore, we are inviting to participate in this seminar representatives from non-academic and academic communities.

The seminar is for university leaders, administrative staff members, pedagogical staff, researchers, students and all who are seeking to participate and contribute to the creation of favorable working conditions and an inclusive working environment in our universities.

Representatives from Lithuanian and foreign universities will share their experiences with work-life balance:
