First SPEAR's Project Learning and Support Meeting completed!

Project Learning and Supporting Meetings (PLSMs) are important meeting points for all SPEAR’s participants. They provide SPEAR's Communities of Learning (CoL) and Communities of Practice (CoP) with their crucial structuring foundation, where the dynamics for both communities is established and maintained.

The first PLSM meeting took place in SDU's premises in Odense on March 12-14th. All project partners gathered together to set the foundation for SPEAR's CoL and CoP.

During the three days of interactive discussions, presentations, brainstorming and exercises the partners covered the topics of gender equality in general and in academia in particular, its relevance and benefits on the institutional and personal levels; peculiarities depending on the country and institutions they are coming from; applicability of GEAR tools in local contexts, the importance of engaging stakeholders for successful implementation of Gender Equality Plans as well as the importance of progress evaluation based on the "critical friend" approach.

SPEAR will follow up with blogs and videos from our first PLSM, stay tuned!
