On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, from  the 19th to 25th November of 2020, a seven-day campaign under the slogan "You matter!" will be held in Rijeka.

The EIGE Gender Equality Index 2020 is out! The EIGE index is a tool to measure the progress of gender equality in the EU. It gives more visibility to areas that need improvement and ultimately supports policymakers to design more effective gender equality measures. 

Gender equality is considered one of the main priorities in the European Union (EU) countries for strengthening the European Research Area (ERA). 

After an abrupt break to the activities due to COVID-19, already in May and June, following a reduction in social distancing measures, several smaller theatre forms, exhibitions, children’s plays, and film screenings were presented to the Rijeka audience, and at the beginning of summer the city’s cultural hustle and bustle heat up.

Today, the 18^th of September is the first ever-international Equal Pay Day! This day represents the efforts towards the achievement of equal pay for work of equal value and it ensures that none is left behind.

This course on Communicating Gender Statistics is designed to guide journalists and statisticians to use statistics to report on the unique situation and needs of women and men.

The course Gender, sexualities, identities: from oppression to equality is being held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Rijeka this academic year (2019/2020) for the first time and it is a part of the Department of Cultural Studies curricula.

The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2020, which assesses universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), places our partner,  NOVA in first place in relation to the Gender Equality goal (SDG 5) and in 67^th worldwide, in a total of 548 institutions.

Promotion of a scientific monograph entitled "The Gender Perspective of the Budget Process" by Assistant Prof. Ana Marija Sikirić, Ph.D., will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 2019 at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Rijeka.

On September 4^th and 5^th, Joanneum Research conducted interviews at RWTH Aachen University for the Status Quo Assessment of our project.
